Yoga Classes

Escape Above Yoga Lounge offers daily yoga classes for students of all levels. Come to our small sanctuary in the midst of the city to restore and renew. Our experienced instructors have been trained in different styles and teach safe, high quality classes.

Yoga gently move joints, stretches and tones muscles and encourages deeper more complete breathing, bending and twisting help to stimulate and clean all the systems of the body and eliminate toxins.

The benefits of meditation include: relaxation; reduced stress, normalized blood pressure, increased energy, improved overall health, increased mental clarity and concentration, enhanced creativity, increased sense of emotional balance and well-being, feeling more centered and in the glow of life, new perspectives on the meaning of one's life.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Basic Yoga
A non-intimidating class geared towards beginners, welcoming all students brand-spanking-new to yoga.

Gentle Yoga
A gentle yoga class that flows through a series of relaxing stretches while still remaining aware of the healing breath.

Morning Flow
A energizing way to begin the day with condensed 1-hour Vinyasa flow style class.

Vinyasa Flow
Students will flow from one breath to another while synchronizing breath and movement. Exertion may range from mild to vigorous depending on teacher and level.

Power Yoga
A more vigorous and challenging class that will deepen your practice. Appropriate for students with basic knowledge of postures.

Hatha Yoga
Traditional asana (postures) are held in correct alignment with emphasis on strengthening, awareness, and breath control.

Free Yoga
A down-to-earth class welcoming anybody and everybody interested in improving their well-being through community yoga. (Priority spaces reserved for first time students until 10 minutes before class begins. Return students are still welcome at "stand-by" status, taking any spaces unoccupied by new students.) Offered twice a month. Call for schedule.
